Helping Hands

Casserole Ministry

This group of folks comes in two levels - cooks and deliveries.  Cooks prepare a casserole, (or soup, or a meal of some sort) and hands it off to a delivery person to take to the home of someone who is sick, or just home from the hospital, or some similar situation where energy to cook for the family is diminished.

Folder's Fellowship

This is a committed group of folks who avail themselves to the church whenever there is a need for help with mailings and such.  They meet at least once each month at 10:00 a.m. to fold, stamp, and label the church newsletter.  This is one FUN group as evidenced by the laughter that never ceases whenever they come together.  Contact Rachel Hockman for information on how to help out: 770-396-0844

Ministries

Administration Ministries

No church can go far in outreach or scope without administration.  The ministry of order and system give cohesion and support to the program ministries of a congregation.  This group of folks labor in a less visible field, but one that yields the fruit that keeps all the others going storing.  Click the Administration Ministries link on the left for more information.

Compassion Ministries

This group addresses the needs of the congregation in various aspects: listening in crisis, visitation to the shut-in, sick, or isolated, sending encouragement cards, prayer chains, and more.  Click the Compassion Ministries link on the left for more information.

Christian Education Ministries

The name is self-explanatory, but the scope of this group permeates the entire church at every level.  In United Methodism, we believe every person should be in a Bible study, a faith study, and be working toward understanding their personal faith in Christ, and what it means for them individually.  This must be done in the context of a faith community.  Opportunities abound.  Click the Christian Education Ministries link on the left for more information.

Fellowship Ministries

This group looks after those programs and events that build up the body of Christ from the inside out - working with those active in the church ministries.  Fellowship suppers, family outings, children's special activities, and more.  Click the Fellowship Ministries link on the left for more information.

Service and Mission Ministries

This group encompasses the many avenues of Christian mission - local efforts such as a Red Cross Blood Drive in our own gym, to regional efforts such as serving lunch at the Trinity Soup Kitchen in downtown Atlanta, and beyond.  They encourage and support many different mission opportunities.  Click the Service and Mission Ministries link on the left for more information.

Stewardship Ministries

We believe good stewardship of all resources, prayers, presence, gifts, and service, is a matter of faith.  This group educates and encourages participation at all levels of the church.  Click the Stewardship Ministries link on the left for more information.

Welcome Ministries

This group of ministries gives focus to the 'newcomer' among us; someone who may have just moved into the community days before, or someone who has lived here for years but is looking for a church home.  Greeting and meeting a new persons needs is the hallmark of this group.  Click the Welcome Ministries link on the left for more information.

Worship Ministries

This group includes all aspects of working with matters of worship, praise, celebration and more -- Sunday's especially, but special occasions as well.  Click the Worship Ministries link on the left for more information.
